Since Chris became CEO in 2004, Ilitch Companies' revenue has increased by more than 600%. This expansion has included the continued growth and modernization of existing businesses, major capital and real estate projects, the development and acquisition of new businesses, and investments in new markets and industries.
During Chris's tenure, Little Caesars has continued to grow, extending its global presence to 30 countries and territories. The company has supported that growth through significant investments in its franchise system, digital technology, food manufacturing, distribution and broader supply-chain capabilities.
Chris shaped the design and development of Little Caesars Arena, challenging the project team to create a distinctive, state-of-the-art venue with exceptional amenities and a first-class fan experience. The arena opened in 2017 as the home of the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons and an anchor of The District Detroit. It was named Sports Facility of the Year at the 2018 Sports Business Awards and earned LEED Silver certification in 2019.
Olympia Development of Michigan completed or continued to advance major Detroit projects, including the Little Caesars Global Resource Center, the restoration of the Eddystone, Henry Street Apartments, 2715 Woodward and developments near the University of Michigan Center for Innovation.
In 2026, Ilitch Gaming was established as a national platform for the continued growth of the organization's gaming, hospitality and entertainment businesses. Its portfolio includes MotorCity Casino Hotel and Ocean Casino Resort, and it has entered into an agreement to acquire Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
Ilitch Sports + Entertainment expanded their investments in emerging sports through the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) and TGL's Los Angeles Golf Club. PWHL Detroit is scheduled to begin play at Little Caesars Arena during the 2026–27 season.
